Carlos Gregorio Hernandez Vasquez
Carlos a sixteen year old from Guatemala, passed away while in CBP's custody on May 20th, 2019. Carlos was diagnosed with the flu and a temperature of 103 degrees. Video Surveillance shows a disoriented and sick Carlos in his cell before he passes away from the Flu. The body will begin convulsing and go brain dead at a temperature at or above108 degrees. Carlos literally baked from the inside while no one came to his aid while he was in distress convulsing and vomiting. His loss is not the first or the last that has occurred while in CBP custody.
